Three things about the impact of society

1. Coal pollution
Coal contains sulfur and other elements, including dangerous metals. When it's burned, it makes air pollution because so many dangerous gases from the coal blew up to the air.

2. Acid rain
Acid rain results when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are emitted into the atmosphere and transported by wind and air currents. When acid rain falls down, it can destroy land and houses.

3. Oil spill
Oil spill is the release of a liquid petroleum hydrocarbon into the environment. It frequently kill marine mammals and can cause damage by contaminating their food supply.
